Another plane from the Embraer family joined the fleet of the Montenegrin national airline yesterday, namely the E-190 with 104 seats.
Along with the existing two Embraer 195 and one Airbus 320, there are four aircraft with a total of 500 seats with which Air Montenegro will operate during the summer season. The plane was leased from the Wind Rose company in the form of an ACMI arrangement – the company announced.
The plane already made flights from Tivat to Prague and Belgrade on the first day. The company states that during June, Air Montenegro will operate 25 flights a day from Tivat and Podgorica to the planned 16 destinations.
The current state of capacity sales, flight occupancy and the average sales tariff confirm the optimism that this will be a record year in the national carrier’s business and that the plan of close to half a million transported passengers will be achieved. Bearing in mind that the full – high tourist season is ahead of us, and in the interest of the tourist and complementary economy, citizens and the state, we believe that the introduction of the fourth plane is of multiple importance – the announcement states.
Air Montenegro reminds that during this year it will operate regular flights to Belgrade, Ljubljana, Banja Luka, Frankfurt, Zurich, Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Copenhagen, Prague, Istanbul, which it did in the previous year, and for the first time towards Bratislava, Brno, and Sarajevo.
In addition to new charters for the Baltic countries, which operate from Tivat airport, we have new charters from Podgorica to Rzeszów in Poland. The charter series of flights will be operated, as in previous years, to Yerevan, Cairo, Katowice, in the period from June to September, while the charters from Tel Aviv started operating in March and will last until October – the announcement concludes.
