The Electric Power Company of Montenegro is in a big investment boom

The Electric Power Company of Montenegro is in a big investment boom, as shown by projects worth around EUR 100 million, it was said during the visit of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić to the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant (TE) and the Coal Mine.

As announced by the Government, Spajić visited Pljevlja on Friday with the Ministers of Energy and Mining Saša Mujović and Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property Janko Odović, where he met with the local leadership and management of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) and the Coal Mine.

– Pljevlja will receive the attention it has long deserved. We will make maximum efforts so that this city takes a leading position in the development process – just as it deserves – said the Prime Minister at the meeting with the President of the Municipality Dario Vraneš.

At the meeting with the management of Coal Mine, the company’s operations were discussed, with special emphasis on the project of relocating the bed of the Ćehotina river.

During the discussion with the representatives of Electric Power Company of Montenegro, it was assessed that the company is in a big investment position, which is confirmed by projects worth around EUR 100 million, among which are the ecological reconstruction of the Thermal Power Plant, heating and the construction of the Otilovići hydroelectric power plant.

Representatives of the management of the two companies informed the Prime Minister about the business, and expressed their satisfaction with the business results, which give reason for optimism.

Electric Power Company of Montenegro announced that at the meeting, special attention was paid to the projects of ecological reconstruction, adaptation of the boiler, replacement of the internal lining of the chimney, modernization of the steam turbo plant and block transformer, and the heating of Pljevlja, which will extend the working life of the most profitable plant and solve the heating problem in the city.

The company reminds that the mentioned projects should be completed by the end of 2025.
