The average weighted effective interest rate on total approved loans, which includes all their costs, in April compared to March increased by 0.05 percentage points and amounted to 6.22 percent, according to data from the Central Bank (CBCG).
“The average weighted nominal interest rate on a monthly basis increased by 0.04 percentage points to 5.7 percent“, it is stated in the CBCG Bulletin.
The effective interest rate on newly approved loans in April fell by 0.33 percentage points to 6.59 percent, and the nominal by 0.27 percentage points to 5.93 percent.
The effective interest rate of microcredit financial institutions (MFI) on total approved loans in April fell by 0.17 percentage points to 22.84 percent, and the nominal rate by 0.11 percentage points to 20.05 percent.
The effective monthly MFI interest rate on newly approved loans fell by 0.45 percentage points to 21.79 percent, and the nominal interest rate by 0.18 percentage points to 19.25 percent.
The average weighted effective interest rate on deposits in April was 0.01 percentage point lower on a monthly basis and amounted to 0.28 percent.
The difference between active and passive interest rates in April amounted to 5.94 percentage points and was higher compared to March.
