The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has issued a preliminary notice regarding the tender for constructing the Mateševo-Andrijevica section of the Bar-Boljare highway.
According to the announcement, the project’s estimated cost is 530 million euros, with the EBRD providing financing of 200 million euros.
This section of the highway spans 22 kilometers and constitutes the second phase of the Bar-Boljare highway project. Monteput, the designated recipient of the bank’s funds, intends to utilize the loan or donation managed by the EBRD for this construction endeavor.
It’s important to note that this notification serves solely for informational purposes, and the formal call for applications has not yet been initiated.
The anticipated commencement date for procurement activities is April 19th.
In a recent development, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić announced that Montenegro has secured a 200 million euro loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Additionally, the European Commission (EC) is expected to provide a grant covering 40% of the total project investment.
Director of Monteput, Milan Ljiljanić, disclosed plans for a pre-qualification announcement followed by the tender process in the middle of the year.
