Banks’ liquid assets in May amounted to EUR 1.68 billion, which is 0.15 percent more than in April.
Liquidity coefficients for the banking system as a whole were above the prescribed minimums, on a daily and decadal level.
The balance sheet of banks at the end of May amounted to EUR 6.43 billion and recorded a slight increase compared to April, while at the annual level it grew by 15.47 percent.
In the structure of banks’ assets, in May, the dominant share of 60.11 percent was achieved by total loans, followed by cash and deposit accounts with central banks with 21.52 percent, securities with 17.19 percent, while 1.18 percent related to the remaining assets.
In the structure of liabilities, the dominant share of 80.81 percent was achieved by deposits, followed by capital with 11.58 percent, loans with 4.43 percent, while other items accounted for 3.18 percent of total liabilities.
The total capital of banks at the end of May amounted to EUR 744.54 million, and on a monthly and annual level, it recorded a growth of 1.72 percent and 24.38 percent.
