The season in the National Park (NP) Durmitor is excellent and a large number of visitors have been recorded, announced its director Pero Popović.
He said that 140,000 people visited the NP in the first seven months of this year, which is 45 percent and 15 percent more compared to last year and 2019.
According to him, the Black Lake is the most visited, while many tourists took the opportunity to visit the Durmitor mountain itself.
“We appeal to wear adequate footwear, clothing and food, as well as for visitors to follow the rules and markings on the trails, in order to avoid accidents and turning in the direction of dangerous terrain,” said Popović.
He added that illegal construction in Žabljak is decreasing, while illegal logging is almost non-existent.
