The executive director of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Steve Heapy, stated that the feedback from users and independent travel agencies speaks in favor of the high demand for flights and vacation packages in Montenegro for this year’s summer season.

“This confirms to us that Montenegro is a destination that users want to reach. From the moment we put tickets for this destination on sale from Manchester airport, local users and independent travel agencies have decided to visit Montenegro. As the largest tour operator in the UK, we have provided users and independent travel agencies with an unparalleled opportunity when it comes to summer holidays this year,” said Heapy.

The director of the National Tourist Organization (NTO), Ana Tripković Marković, emphasized that last year there were five times more tourists from the UK compared to 2021, so, as she adds, it is to be expected that with the introduction of Jet2.com flights on the air- on the line between Manchester and Tivat, such a trend will continue.

“Montenegro offers a variety of opportunities for different types of vacations. We are convinced that British tourists will not remain indifferent to untouched nature, spacious beaches, excellent gastronomic offer, numerous events, as well as excellent opportunities for activities in nature. We invite you to visit Montenegro this year, a country where an unforgettable vacation and an authentic experience await you,” said Tripković Marković.

And the executive director of the Airport of Montenegro, Vladan Drašković, said that they are pleased to welcome one of the leading airlines in the field of tourist travel.

“Vacation, adventure and exploration are the first associations for Jet2com. And this summer is the time for travelers from the UK to revisit and rediscover the destinations in Montenegro that they once enjoyed visiting. With the first spectacular views of Tivat airport from the sky and the warm welcome of our staff on the ground, every passenger will know that they are in the right place”, said DraÅ¡ković.

According to previous announcements, Tivat is expected to be connected to 35 to 40 destinations during the summer. In addition to Manchester, Tivat currently has active lines to Belgrade, Istanbul, Helsinki, Berlin, London, Dusseldorf, Tel Aviv and Paris.
