Compared to European countries, Montenegro achieved the highest growth in revenue generated per room (RevPar) during July, when it comes to comparison with 2019, the monthly report of the European Travel Commission (ETC) showed.
The National Tourism Organization (NTO) announced that, according to these data, a RevPar growth of 105.19 percent was recorded compared to 2019, with which Montenegro surpassed all other European destinations.
“In addition, other indicators of tourist traffic show that Montenegrin tourism is experiencing a strong recovery, and that Montenegro stands out as an attractive tourist destination in Europe. The ETC report points out that Montenegro, with a 20.52 percent increase in the occupancy rate compared to the previous month, achieved the best results among all European countries,” the statement added.
The director of NTO, Ana Tripković Marković, said that the ETC data are encouraging and are a sign of the good positioning of our destination.
“These data speak of the strengthening of the destination because RevPar is one of the key indicators of success in tourism. We remind you that in the quarterly report of ETC, it was stated that Montenegro recorded the highest growth in the number of tourists compared to 2019 from the markets of Great Britain, France and the Netherlands. The fact that we are in the group of countries that record significant growth in almost all monthly reports speaks of the ever-improving ranking of Montenegro as a tourist destination in Europe,” said Tripković Marković.
