Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the eyes of almost everyone who has ever seen the Bay of Kotor say that it is a unique pearl and the most beautiful thing they have ever experienced in their lives. The postcard from the lookout point on Lovcen, which offers a unique panorama of Boka, has traveled the world.
From August 14th, Montenegrin residents and tourists will have the opportunity to see the proud landscape from the gondola. Montenegro gets a cable car from Kotor to Lovcen.
Although no one really disputes what kind of beauty it is, immediately after the publication of the price list for the ride, a controversy started on social networks as to whether the price was too high or not.
Price comparison
On social networks, one can read comments that the price is high and that there are cable cars in the region that are significantly cheaper.
Citizens also comment on the fact that you have to pay for a return ticket, counting on the fact that, whichever way you go, you have to return to that point, and that, if two people decide to drive, that is too much money.
We allocate from 30 to 200 euros for deckchairs
Those who believe that the price is not too high also cite as an argument how much you will pay for beach furniture on the Montenegrin coast, stating the prices of just a pair of deckchairs from 30 to 200 euros, depending on the beach you choose.
Also, on social networks, citizens compare the price of our cable car with the Zlatibor cable car, pointing out that the cable car in neighboring Serbia is much cheaper, 10 euros.
However, it should be said that, regardless of whether the price of the ride seems too high or not, these are still incomparable categories.
Cable car “Kotor-Lovćen” vs Dubrovnik cable car
The Bay of Kotor is the most beautiful picture of this part of the world. The mountains, the Adriatic Sea, the bay, fortresses, the city of Kotor as part of the UNESCO heritage and the Lovćen National Park, make this area an attraction that will further position us on the world map of places to visit.
The price of a return ticket for the cable car in Dubrovnik costs 27 euros, that is, four euros more than the Montenegrin ticket. Dubrovnik is also part of the UNESCO heritage, but comparing these two objects leads to the conclusion that they are significantly different tourist attractions.
