Winter tourist season has started in the town of Zabljak, bringing numerous cultural and entertaining activities to this town, especially during the weekends.

The Mayor of Zabljak, Rados Zugic, points out that they’ve prepared the winter events calendar. “Today we opened the winter tourist season and had a series of activities. There was the exhibition of conceptual designs for reconstruction of the ‘Durmitorski ratnici’ square, we handed out certificates of appreciation to our youngest residents for their contribution to the promotion of tourism season and the main square central event,” Mr Zugic told.

The Director of the Zabljak Tourism Organization, Stojan Abazovic, is satisfied with the opening ceremony, adding that their events calendar is quite interesting. “This year, for the first time, we’re going to open the ice rink, as well as the New Year’s bazaar on the square, while the Snowshoe Days and Nordic Skiing Days events are planned in January. We also plan to organize the snow sculpture festival,” said Mr Abazovic.

As for the announcements for arrivals during the New Year holiday, they’re great. “Both hotel bosses and owners of private accommodation have great announcements about stays,” he concluded.
