The headquarters of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro – TurkCham was opened yesterday in Podgorica.
As announced by the Government, the Chamber was opened by Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan.
– The opening of the office of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Podgorica is a historic day when it comes to relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Turkey – said Prime Minister Abazović.
He expressed satisfaction that Turkey, as a proven friend of Montenegro, is opening a representative office of its Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro.
Abazović and Fidan expressed their particular satisfaction that another Turkish airline will launch direct flights with Montenegro these days, assessing that this will further improve the relationship between the two friendly and allied countries.
– I believe that this is another proof or crown of good political relations that can also be called fraternal. Turkish companies are more than welcome in Montenegro. Montenegro is a territorially small country, but it offers great opportunities. I believe and am sure that Turkish companies will find their place when it comes to the construction of large infrastructure projects in Montenegro in transport, energy, and tourism, but that this type of cooperation will improve our cultural relations and relations regarding health and education – he said.
He emphasized the importance of a good connection between Montenegro and the Istanbul airport, which is a port from which Montenegrin citizens often travel to various destinations in the world, and the special importance of the quality of that traffic connection is reflected in its importance for Montenegrin tourism and overall business in our country.
He sent congratulations and wishes for successful work to the new Government of the Republic of Turkey and wished that official Ankara would continue with the policy of friendly relations with the countries of the Western Balkans and friends of Turkey who live in that area.
