Montenegro earned more than 121 million euros from online shopping

Last year, Montenegro earned 121.7 million euros from e-commerce, which places it in the group of countries with lower income compared to the European Union market, according to the Strategy for the Development of Postal Activities for the period from next year to 2028.

The document states that in Montenegro, a person spends an average of 433 euros shopping online, while in EU countries the figure is 1,002 euros per user.

“In 2027, the average revenue per user is expected to be 675.5 euros, which is an increase of 52.45 percent compared to last year, and revenues from e-commerce in the amount of 214 million euros, which is an increase of 75, 86 percent compared to last year. The expected annual growth rate until 2027 is 12.12 percent, which is a higher value compared to 8.93 percent in Central and Western Europe,” the document states.

The e-commerce market in Montenegro is expected to have 316,600 users by 2027, which is an increase of 15.25 percent compared to last year.
