The 2024 Concession Plan for detailed geological exploration and exploitation of mineral resources includes granting concessions for seven additional locations, as confirmed by the Government in its latest session.
Granting these concessions aims to secure public interest, enhance the mining sector, and ensure the sustainable use of non-renewable mineral resources through long-term utilization. The plan also seeks to boost employment, promote the rational and economical use of natural resources, and achieve technical and technological advancements while preserving the environment.
“After conducting a public discussion and assessing the public interest in granting these concessions, seven new locations have been added to the 2024 Plan,” the announcement stated.
The designated locations are:
- Architectural-building stone deposits at Klikovače in Danilovgrad
- Žoljevica in Andrijevica
- Technical-building stone sites at Drmić in Nikšić and Jejevac I in Šavnik
- Natural gravel site (glacial and fluvioglacial origin) at Ražano polje 2 in Žabljak
- Technical-building stone site at Jasenov vrh in Plužine
