Three companies based in Podgorica – N1, Sistem-MNE, and PerMonte – are moving forward with plans to develop the Sinjajevina – Part II wind farm in Šavnik, with a combined installed capacity of 290.40 MW.

During the latest government session, urban-technical conditions were issued for the preparation of technical documentation, signaling progress towards the construction of the wind farm across multiple cadastral parcels in Lipovo, Krnja Jela, Boan, Tušinja, and Timar.

According to a preliminary assessment by Sistem-MNE, the wind farm is slated to feature 44 wind turbines, collectively generating 290.40 MW of power.

In February of this year, the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property initiated a call for leasing land exceeding 2 million square meters for wind farm development. The lease, spanning 30 years, aims to facilitate the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of wind turbines with a minimum capacity of 6.6 MW each.

The designated site for the wind farm is situated across the cadastral municipalities of Boan, Tušinja, Krnja Jela, and Timar, covering a total area of 2,033,897 m2. The annual starting lease price is set at EUR 569,500.

Recently, a land lease agreement was finalized with a consortium comprising N1, Sistem-MNE, and PerMonte. This consortium, the sole bidder for land lease, has taken significant steps towards the realization of the wind farm project.
