Montenegro’s industrial product prices

In the first quarter of this year, the prices of imported industrial products in Montenegro experienced a slight decline of 0.1 percent compared to the same period last year, as per Monstat data.

According to the report, the mining and quarrying sector saw a reduction of 0.9 percent, while the manufacturing sector witnessed a minor dip of 0.1 percent in comparison to the first quarter of the previous year.

Furthermore, the prices of imported industrial products in Montenegro during the first quarter dropped by 0.9 percent when compared to the last quarter of the previous year. Interestingly, the mining and quarrying sector remained stable during this period, whereas the manufacturing sector observed a decrease of 0.9 percent compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year.

Statisticians highlighted that the prices of industrial products meant for export in Montenegro experienced a marginal decline of 0.1 percent compared to the same period last year. Specifically, the mining and quarrying sector reported a slight decrease of 0.1 percent, while prices in the manufacturing sector remained relatively steady, maintaining the levels seen in the first quarter of the previous year.

However, there was a contrasting trend in the prices of industrial products destined for export in Montenegro during the first quarter, showing an overall increase of 1.4 percent compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. Notably, the mining and quarrying sector noted a modest increase of 0.3 percent, while the manufacturing sector exhibited a more significant rise of 1.6 percent compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year.
