The National Tourism Organization (NTO) of Montenegro made its mark at this year’s TravMedia International Media Marketplace (IMM) event, held in Paris on Wednesday.

Described as the largest global gathering for forging partnerships with influencers and media professionals, IMM connects the tourism industry with editors, journalists, and broadcasters, providing a platform for collaboration.

NTO representatives engaged in more than 20 meetings, including discussions with leading media outlets in France such as TV5MONDE, La Quotidienne, Le Temps d’un Voyage, Femme Actuelle, Désirs de Voyages, Courants d’Air Magazine, and Le Routard.

Conversations centered on exploring collaboration opportunities to spotlight Montenegro as a premier tourist destination, highlighting the diverse range of experiences the country offers visitors.

Ivan Kabacoff, host of the Destination Francophonie program aired globally on TV5MONDE, shared his firsthand experience of visiting Montenegro, emphasizing its exceptional natural beauty and compact yet diverse landscape. He expressed his commitment to showcasing the country’s uniqueness to potential tourists from French-speaking regions.

Media representatives, as in previous years, expressed keen interest in discovering Montenegro’s attractions and featuring them in their publications.

Karine Firaud, General Director of Travel Media, hailed the success of this year’s event, noting that IMM France has grown significantly since its inception five years ago. She highlighted Montenegro’s immense potential in the French market, citing its appeal to French travelers seeking cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and active tourism experiences.

Frédéric Mouren de Poligny, a journalist from La Quotidienne magazine, expressed his eagerness to explore Montenegro and share its beauty with readers. He emphasized that Montenegro’s cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and idyllic beaches make it an enticing destination for French tourists.

Montenegro’s tourism sector has shown impressive growth, with a notable increase in visitors and overnight stays from France in the past year, signaling strong interest from French travelers.

Participation in events like IMM is vital for NTO, as it facilitates collaboration with esteemed media outlets from France, contributing to enhanced visibility and continued growth in tourism from this key market.
