Foreign trade exchange EUR 2.56 billion

The total foreign trade of Montenegro in the first seven months, according to Monstat’s preliminary data, amounted to EUR 2.56 billion, which is 8.6 percent more compared to the same period last year.

Monstat announced that exported goods were worth EUR 411.8 million, which is 3.6 percent less compared to the comparative period. Imports were 11.3 percent higher and amounted to EUR 2.15 billion.

The coverage of imports by exports amounted to 19.2 percent and is lower compared to the same period of the previous year when it amounted to 22.2 percent,” the announcement states.

In the export structure, mineral fuels and lubricants are the most represented in the amount of EUR 191.5 million, which are made up of electricity with EUR 176.7 million and others.

In the structure of imports, the most represented are machines and transport devices in the amount of EUR 505.6 million, which are made up of road vehicles with EUR 181.4 million and others.

The largest foreign trade partners in exports were Serbia with EUR 106.3 million, Bosnia and Herzegovina with EUR 54.1 million and Slovenia with EUR 52.6 million.

The largest foreign trade partners in imports were Serbia with EUR 377.7 million, China EUR 246.8 million and Germany with EUR 198.5 million.

Foreign trade was the largest with the signatories of the Central European Free Trade Area (CEFTA) and with the European Union (EU).
