40% of companies in Montenegro are owned by foreigners, Monstat data show.
As Darko Đikanović, a market analyst at the Adriatic Appraisal agency, wrote on LinkedIn, there were 18,400 active foreign-owned companies in Montenegro last year. That, as he stated, is an increase of 25% compared to the previous year.
– The majority of foreign-owned companies come from Turkey (5,002) and Russia (4,378). Companies from Serbia and Ukraine follow – said Đikanović.
The largest number of these companies is located in Budva, followed by Podgorica and Bar.
