The goal of the 44th Government of Montenegro is to improve the standards of citizens through the implementation of the Europe Now 2.0 program, said Mandatory Milojko Spajić in his presentation to the Assembly.

– We will achieve the stated goal by releasing the investment potential of Montenegro, development projects that will give impetus to new business opportunities in the country, a comprehensive tax reform, by freeing the employer from part of the labor costs as the most significant fixed cost in his business, which will accelerate the creation of new jobs, as well as by eliminating business barriers, with a drastic reduction of the “gray economy” – emphasized Spajić.

As he said, the government will be committed to greater transparency of public finances through further improvement of the program budget and greater availability of data on the spending of public funds.

Spajić said that the economic potential of Montenegro, with adequate management, based on equal opportunities and dedicated work to create a new model of economic development of the country, is a guarantee of increasing the standard of living and achieving the well-being of all citizens.

According to him, strengthening the resistance of the Montenegrin economy to increasingly frequent crises, through the improvement of macroeconomic and financial stability, is the foundation for the implementation of reforms that will position Montenegro as one of the most attractive countries for investments in the world.

– The first step towards that goal is the implementation of decisive and comprehensive fiscal consolidation in order to rationalize budget costs and enable Montenegro to finance all its current obligations from current revenues – said Spajić.

According to him, the special focus of the 44th Government will be on the reform of the pension and health system.
