The Minister of Transport and Communications of North Macedonia, Blagoj Bocvarski, believes that a modern and well-connected transport system represents potential for the economic development of the entire region. He referred to the specific projects that North Macedonia is currently implementing, as well as those that it plans to implement in the coming period, the implementation of which will connect the countries of the Western Balkans directly with the neighboring countries, members of the EU – Bulgaria and Greece.

In this context, Bocvarski emphasized that modern roads represent the potential for the creation of new jobs, which directly affects the economic and economic prosperity of the region.

The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania, Enkelejda Mucaj, said that the Government of that country is committed to improving capacities, especially in the area of passenger and freight traffic. According to her, one of the main goals is to better network the system in order to better connect the states and the region as a whole with the EU.

In this sense, as she explained, Albania proactively approaches its obligations and intensively invests in infrastructure, by building new and rehabilitating old road and railway roads. By improving the system and integrating the network, the market will be connected and integrated for the benefit of the economy, and we will get ecological, smarter and safer traffic.

The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, said that BiH has learned a lot through the recent highway construction project and has shown that it can and is ready to implement large infrastructure projects, but that in the coming period there will be many large and challenging ones. projects.

In this regard, he emphasized the importance of the exchange of knowledge and experience between the countries of the region, as well as the support of CEFTA and the Transport Community in order to use the potential in the best way for the benefit of the citizens of BiH and neighboring countries.
The assistant director of the BiH Customs Sector, Vladimir Dragićević, said that the digitization of the system is of particular importance for the improvement of work procedures, because in this way, paperless business will be provided much faster and more efficiently.

The new system, as he said, also enables the introduction of the category of authorized business entity, which brings numerous benefits to business entities, and at the same time facilitates control and speeds up the procedure at the border, and strengthens connectivity at the local and regional level.

At the connectivity summit, a joint CEFTA-TCT declaration on the Improvement of Green Belts was adopted, which will further facilitate transport and trade with the aim of reducing waiting times and improving the efficiency of EU logistics and value chains.
