All highways in Montenegro will cost between 6 and 8 billion euros, said Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.

“And financing is feasible, it is not a problem to borrow for the capital budget. We should not shy away from borrowing for investments, we just need to ensure that the current budget does not reach a deficit,” Spajić said in an interview.

He emphasized the importance of having a fully organized tax system that is simplified, makes sense for the economy and businesses, supports economic development, and benefits all citizens. The second step, he said, is the construction of infrastructure.

“You cannot build highways so quickly. You have to work on it for years; it takes 45 steps to complete it. It will also take a couple of years to bring the airports to the state we want to see,” Spajić emphasized.

He said that the current airports are a disgrace to Montenegro and are in very poor condition.

“Airports should be much nicer and more efficient, and the service should be at a much higher level. We will do everything to improve that,” Spajić said, among other things.
