3.61 million overnight stays in Montenegro for the first five months

In the first five months, 575,000 tourists visited Montenegro, while 3.61 million nights were spent in collective and individual accommodation, the National Tourism Organization (NTO) said.
This was officially announced to Vijesti based on Monstat’s preliminary data.
Based on the same data, the NTO said that Budva leads the way with 457,450 overnight stays in collective accommodation for this period, followed by Herceg Novi with 199,780, and then Podgorica with 114,810.
– Most of the municipalities recorded significant growth, so in Budva 50% more overnight stays were achieved compared to the previous year, in Herceg Novi 32% and in Podgorica 21% more – the answer states.
In addition to these, a significant increase in overnight stays was recorded in Ulcinj – 292%, Kotor 59% and Nikšić 56%.
As they said from NTO, compared to last year, 53.1% more arrivals were achieved. Compared to 2019, that growth is 24%.
– In terms of overnight stays, we recorded a growth of 99% compared to the same period last year, and 94% compared to 2019 – the NTO stated.
They added that they are satisfied with the results in the pre-season, but also with how the summer tourist season is going. They also state that everything indicates that it is a good season and that there is great interest in the tourist offer.
As they pointed out, according to the data they receive from local tourist organizations, on a weekly basis, almost all municipalities record good attendance.
