The Central Bank (CBCG) has encouraged Ziraat Bank to provide support to healthy segments of the Montenegrin economy and contribute to the development of economic relations between Montenegro and Turkey, announced Governor Radoje Žugić at a meeting with the bank’s management.

“We encourage Ziraat Bank to provide support to healthy segments of the Montenegrin economy, as well as, by enabling interested Turkish investors to invest in Montenegro, to contribute to the development of economic relations between these two countries, which are constantly expanding and improving,” said Žugić.

Looking at the situation on the banking market of Montenegro, it was concluded that banks, despite the challenges imposed by the macro environment, operate on a sound and stable basis. The meeting also discussed the cooperation between Ziraat Bank and the regulator, the operations of that credit institution and its further plans in connection with strengthening its position on the domestic market.
