Turkish Airlines plans to increase frequencies on several routes in the region during the 2024 summer season starting on March 31st, including Podgorica and Tivat.
The Turkish company will increase the number of flights from Istanbul to both Podgorica and Tivat after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Air Montenegro earlier this year. This agreement allows both national carriers to increase their frequencies in each other’s markets.
The Turkish carrier will initially increase flights between Istanbul and Podgorica from two a day to seventeen a week, and from mid-August to eighteen. Similarly, it will increase the frequency of flights to Tivat, which it launched this summer, from six to nine per week, and from mid-August to ten.
Turkish Airlines has ruled out the possibility of introducing flights to Banja Luka after discussions with airport representatives.
In addition to its recently announced plans to increase operations to Zagreb from fourteen to eighteen weekly, Turkish will also increase services to its second destination in Croatia – Dubrovnik – from five to seven weekly rotations. An additional service on Mondays and Wednesdays will be introduced from March 31st.
The carrier will also expand its operations in Sarajevo by adding an additional weekly rotation to a total of 21 flights per week.
