The WB maintained its forecasts for the growth of the Montenegrin economy

In its latest report, the World Bank (WB) did not change its growth forecasts for the Montenegrin economy for this year and the next.
In the latest report on global economic prospects, the Montenegrin economy should grow by 3.4 percent this year, and 3.1 percent in the next.
WB predicted such growth rates for Montenegro in the January report.
The growth of the Montenegrin economy should amount to 2.9 percent in 2025.
The WB assessed in the report that global growth has slowed down sharply and that the risk is increasing, among other things, due to elevated global interest rates.
“It is predicted that global growth will slow down from 3.1 percent last year to 2.1 percent this year,” according to a statement published on the WB website.
The latest global growth forecast for this year is still 0.4 percentage points better than the previous report in January.
The latest forecasts indicate that the shocks of the pandemic, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the sharp slowdown due to difficult global financial conditions have led to a permanent halt in the development of advanced economies, which will last for the foreseeable future.
The World Bank predicts that the growth of the global economy will accelerate to 2.4 percent next year.
