The Executive Director of Montenegro Airports, Vladan Drašković, stated that the company finished the year 2023 with a profit of 9.5 million EUR.

“During 2023, we provided discounts to airlines amounting to 10.2 million EUR. We recognized our social mission and accessibility, and we also have a profit growth,” Drašković said.

Speaking about putting the airports under concession, Drašković mentioned that the concession story carries a series of risks.

“State and private interests do not align. The state interest should not be subordinated to private monopolies. The concession story carries a series of risks. As long as we are under state administration, we have the possibility of co-financing our own development,” Drašković stated.

Minister Radulović commented on the concession of the airports, saying that it is a delicate issue.

“When we consider all the offers, we will make a decision. All major airports in the region are under concession. Concessions are one of the solutions, with both advantages and disadvantages, but it is up to the government to decide,” Radulović concluded.
