The Montenegrin President has invited Austrian industrialists to invest in Montenegro

Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović invited Austrian entrepreneurs to invest in Montenegro and thereby contribute to strengthening the relations between the two countries.

During his official visit to Vienna, he was a guest at a working dinner where he discussed with the President of the Association of Industrialists, Georg Knill, and representatives of leading Austrian companies in the fields of infrastructure, technology, and industry.

According to the President’s office, Milatović briefed his interlocutors on the results Montenegro has achieved in establishing the rule of law and strengthening the independence of institutions.

Milatović emphasized that Montenegro is a leader in the negotiation process, expecting our country to be the next EU member.

He stated that now is a suitable time for investment, considering that institutional stability has been achieved in the country in the previous period.

Knill recognized Montenegro as a reliable partner and emphasized that the country’s natural and strategic potentials provide a good opportunity for investment.

Milatović assessed that “nearshoring” investments represent an opportunity for the region and a necessity for European companies to reduce business risks and strengthen their supply chains.
