The investor of the Bigova Bay resort is investing EUR 6.2 million in communal infrastructure

This year will be dedicated to the development of the infrastructure of the future Bigova Bay complex on Cape Trašte in the municipality of Kotor, Walid Al Najjab, representative of the investor said. It was announced that EUR 400 million will be invested in that project.
– A mixed-use tourist resort is planned, which will include a hotel, restaurants, villas and other residential, commercial and entertainment components. The projected construction capacity on the part of the peninsula owned by Bigova Bay is greater than 105,000 square meters of gross construction area – announced Al Najjab, adding that the residential units are intended for sale.
– The project is being implemented in accordance with the State Study of the Sector 38 location and the Local Study of the Trašte location, i.e. their amendments from 2015, which define the permitted storeys for the residential and hotel components – emphasized Al Najjab.
In December 2019, the Municipality of Kotor, the Directorate for Development and Construction of Kotor and the company Bigova Bay signed an agreement that foresees the construction of two hotels, one of which has 478 beds, and the other is smaller, with a certain number of villas.
In August 2020, the first contractor contract was signed between the companies BBI Development and Briv Construction for communal equipment of land and construction of communal infrastructure for the needs of the Bigova Bay project. The first phase of the works was completed in mid-2021.
Last year, the government gave consent to register a mortgage on cadastral plot number 1483/1, year of birth. 547, KO Lješevići, estimated value of EUR 7.47 million in favor of the Bigova Bay company. At that time, it was clarified that the assumed obligation had been fulfilled, thus creating the conditions for the start of the construction of this complex. In November, a contract was signed for the construction of water supply, electricity and optics for Donji Grbalj, worth EUR 6.2 million, and the deadline for the completion of the works is 13 months.
