New flights from Birmingham and London for more UK tourists

From next year, Montenegro will be connected with Birmingham and London by flights, which will contribute to the increase in the number of tourists from Great Britain, announced the National Tourist Organization (NTO).

The director of NTO, Ana Tripković Marković, said that the news that the largest tour operator on the UK market, Jet2holidays, and the third largest airline, Jet2com, which introduced flights from Manchester this year, announced the introduction of flights from Manchester for the next year Birmingham and London.

“Thus, from April/May until the end of October, Montenegro will be connected to the three largest cities in the United Kingdom,” said Tripković Marković, who heads the Montenegrin delegation at the World Travel Exchange WTM 2023 in London.

NTO, in cooperation with local tourism organizations and the tourism industry, presents the Montenegrin tourism offer at WTM 2023.

Tripković Marković said that the fair in London is the most important fair manifestation for the world tourism industry, and it is especially important for Montenegro, bearing in mind that it is a market of priority importance for the Montenegrin destination, which is also indicated by the great interest of the Montenegrin tourism industry in the performance at that fair.

“I am happy that Montenegro has been recognized by British agents and influential media as a destination on the rise, judging by the noticeably greater interest. We are behind intensive promotional activities on the Great Britain market, which resulted in an improved image and double-digit growth rates of tourist traffic from this market,” said Tripković Marković.

According to Tripković Marković, the growth has also been recognized by the European Travel Commission, which in its latest quarterly report states that Montenegro ranks second among European countries in terms of growth in the number of tourists from the British market compared to 2019.
