The regional agreement on the mutual recognition of professional qualifications was signed on Monday at the Berlin Process Leaders’ Summit in Tirana.
The agreement applies to general care nurses, veterinarians, pharmacists and midwives in the context of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA).

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović signed the document together with other leaders of the Western Balkan countries. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen attended the signing of the agreement.
