The National Tourism Organization (NTO) presented its tourist offer and organized a business workshop for representatives of the Montenegrin tourism industry and Austrian tour operators on Wednesday in Vienna as part of its promotional activities on the Austrian market.

“Taking into account the growing interest from that market, considering that during the first nine months we recorded the arrival of twice as many guests compared to the same period of the previous year, the current tourist offer of Montenegro was presented in Vienna”, the announcement states.

In addition to the sun & sea offer, there are also opportunities for active vacations, winter offers, and long stay offers for tourists during the winter months. Special attention is paid to the promotion of Montenegrin cultural heritage and natural assets that make the destination unique.

“It was also an opportunity to present to tour operators from Austria the accommodation facilities available in Montenegro and the new renowned hotel brands whose opening is announced by 2025.” Bearing in mind the good air connectivity, the possibility opens up for more and more Austrian tourists to visit and spend their holidays in Montenegro”, the announcement states.

The representative of the marketing agency Aviareps, Simon Bopp, said that the Adriatic coast is an extremely popular destination for the Austrian market.

“The workshop showed that there is great interest in Montenegro. Renowned tour operators attended the workshop, we are very pleased with the response and hope to bring new groups of tourists to your country”, said Bopp.

By opening a direct line on the route Vienna-Tivat-Vienna, the Austrian national airline company Austrian Airlines created the conditions for generating more tourist traffic from this market. Flights on the route Vienna-Tivat-Vienna will start on May 13 next year and will be held three times a week – Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, which represents a good opportunity for Montenegro as their potential tourist destination during the summer tourist season.

In addition to the presentation, a business workshop was also organized, which brought together about 15 of the most important Austrian tour operators, most of whom did not include Montenegro in their programs until now.

The workshop was organized with the aim of contracting future cooperation on the plan of the organized arrival of tourists from Austria, so it is expected that the meetings will result in new contracts.

Mihah Ribar, in front of the Reisegenuss agency, expressed particular enthusiasm, looking forward to future cooperation, and he points out that Montenegro is a very beautiful country that has a lot to offer.

Lisa Grandits in front of Grandits Reisen said that it is wonderful that Montenegro is being promoted in Austria and she believes that it has great potential.

“It has a lot of possibilities, from cultural attractions to active holidays, so it offers a very wide range of offers.” One of the ways we will promote your country is in schools, so students and teachers will have the opportunity to visit Montenegro”, said Grandits.

The representative of the tourist agency Next Travel said that this year, three Austrian tour operators had guests who stayed in Montenegro and had daily excursions.

“The workshop was excellently organized, where all new tour operators were present, and it is very important for us that they are not those who already have their partners.” We held very serious talks, and I am happy that everyone is interested in coming to Montenegro”, said the representative of the travel agency Next Travel.

The business workshop was also an opportunity for local tourist organizations to hold talks with tour operators, and on that occasion the representative of LTO Budva said that she was very satisfied with the participation.

“Interested tour operators have mostly never been to Montenegro, so we had a unique opportunity to bring our country closer to them in a nice way.” They showed great interest, especially since there are direct flights with Montenegro. We hope to cooperate with them”, said the representative of TO Budva.

The representative of NTO, Dušanka Pavićević, said that Austria is a very important market for us, and that we want to send a message to Austrian tourists that Montenegro has so much to offer.

“Beautiful beaches, national parks, magnificent mountains, UNESCO sites, the incredible Bay of Kotor, the endless Tara canyon, unique rural households, our tradition, history and culture together with our cuisine will make your vacation in Montenegro unforgettable”, said Pavićević.

In addition to NTO, the business workshop was attended by representatives of local tourism organizations in Podgorica, Kolašin and Budva, the Avala Resort & Villas hotel and the Next Travel travel agency, local media writes.
