Montenegro’s industrial producer prices see modest growth in Q1 2024

In the initial quarter of this year, Montenegro witnessed a 1.7 percent surge in producer prices for industrial goods compared to the same period last year, as per Monstat’s data.

Analyzing further, statisticians observed a 6.1 percent rise in the mining and quarrying sector, alongside a 0.6 percent increase in the manufacturing industry.

Monstat’s statement highlighted that prices in the sector of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply remained stable on average, maintaining the levels observed in the first quarter of the previous year.

Moving on to the comparison with the last quarter of the previous year, producer prices of industrial products saw a 1.4 percent uptick in the first quarter of this year.

Breaking down the sectors, the mining and quarrying sector recorded a 5.6 percent increase, while the manufacturing industry saw a 0.3 percent rise.

Similarly, prices in the sector of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply showed no significant change on average, remaining at levels similar to those in the fourth quarter of the previous year, as concluded in Monstat’s statement.
