Rise in Costs for Imported Industrial Goods

The prices of imported industrial products in Montenegro in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 3.1% compared to the same period in 2022, according to data from the Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat).

“Compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, the mining and quarrying sector recorded an increase of 9.4%, while the manufacturing sector increased by 3.1%,” the statement said.

The prices of imported industrial products in Montenegro in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 0.5% compared to the third quarter of the same year.

“Compared to the third quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector remained unchanged, while the manufacturing sector recorded an increase of 0.5% compared to the third quarter of last year,” said Monstat.

Statisticians have reported that producer prices of industrial products for export in Montenegro in the fourth quarter of last year decreased by 3.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022.

“Compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, the mining and quarrying sector recorded a decline of 3.5%, while the manufacturing sector had a decrease of 5%,” the statement said.

The producer prices of industrial products for export in Montenegro in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 0.5% compared to the third quarter.

“Compared to the third quarter of last year, the mining and quarrying sector recorded an increase of 5.8%, and the manufacturing sector had a growth of 0.3% compared to the third quarter of last year,” concludes the statement.
