The reconstruction of Hotel Mogren in Budva is scheduled to commence in the fall, aiming to elevate the hotel to a 4-star level, as announced by the Budvanska Rivijera hotel group.

The Board of Directors, at its 19th session, has chosen to reconstruct Hotel Mogren in Budva, upgrading it to a 4-star category, as a direction for further business development. The session was chaired by President Mijomir Pejović.

“The expected start date for the reconstruction of Hotel Mogren is October 1, 2024. In order for the planned reconstruction works to begin on time, the process of publishing and conducting tenders and selecting contractors will be carried out during the upcoming summer,” the statement said.

The Budvanska Rivijera emphasizes that the chosen development direction will enhance the accommodation capacities of Hotel Mogren. After several years, the hotel will be fully operational under the management of Budvanska Rivijera.

“The reconstruction of Hotel Mogren will create year-round diverse offerings, increase the number of medium and high-paying guests from targeted source markets, ultimately enhancing the revenue stream of Budvanska Rivijera and improving the tourism product of the city of Budva,” they stated.

It is worth noting that Hotel Mogren has been generating only non-board revenues through the operation of the City Tavern for several years.

“Therefore, based on today’s decision, the existing management of Budvanska Rivijera, after considering the Analysis of possible development directions for Hotel Mogren conducted last year, has decided to give Hotel Mogren the brilliance it deserves, providing the citizens of Budva and its visitors with a new place for a pleasant stay in the exclusive contact zone of the Old Town,” concluded the hotel group.

During the session, the Board of Directors also approved the conclusion of a Strategic Partnership Agreement between Budvanska Rivijera and the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro. This strategic partnership, they note, entails mutual cooperation towards enhancing tourist promotion and intensifying promotional campaigns in source markets, for the benefit of both parties.
