“Montenegro has been recognized by the international community as a factor of stability, which is confirmed by full alignment with the foreign and security policy of the European Union, as well as through continuous support to Ukraine.”
“Montenegro is entering a period of constructing crucial infrastructure projects and further economic growth that will be sustainable and based on European and Euro-Atlantic values, shared with our partners,” stated Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
He briefed the non-resident Ambassador of Canada to Montenegro, Gilles Norman, on important reform processes aimed at creating conditions for the accelerated development of Montenegro.
Norman stated that the developed European Montenegro is a stabilizing factor in the Western Balkans and a reliable support for NATO in the region. He added that Canada supports the ambitious plans of the 44th Government, which focus on the development and improved living standards of citizens.

He stated that based on political stability and a clear perspective, there is room to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized the interest of Canadian companies in investing in Montenegro.
In this context, Spajić presented the development plan for the coming period and stated that the Government is open to all credible investors who can bring expertise to Montenegro, especially in the areas of transportation, infrastructure, and energy.
The interlocutors assessed that a more connected and developed Montenegro is in the interest of both the European Union and NATO. They highlighted the importance of improving administrative capacities and cooperation with partner countries to achieve common goals.
