The budget for the next year, which was determined by the Government of Montenegro, “is maximally good and at this moment it could not have been better planned”, said economic analyst Predrag Drecun. He said, in the that the budget can be very good if abuses are prevented.

At the session on Monday, the government approved the Bill on the budget for the next year, which is planned for 3.4 billion euros.

Drecun believes that it would be good if the agricultural budget were bigger, while he is satisfied with the increase in pensions. “The minimum pension of 450 euros is a wise move and guarantees social security for pensioners,” Drecun said.

He added that there is no new debt and that not a single euro will go to consumption, but to the capital budget.

Drecun believes that the “Europe Now 2” program will be implemented in phases. Huge opportunities, as he stated, lie in the Port of Bar, the railway and the highway. “The highway is the beginning of the elimination of Montenegro as the appendix of Europe,” Drecun said.

Commenting on the Central Bank, he said that the current situation is not good because the banks are liquid and the economy is illiquid.

“The goal is for banks to distribute money to those who need it most with regulations. Now a quarter of banking assets are ready money, which makes money expensive, because it is not marketed. “We have such a situation that the stimulation of investment in the economy was not sufficiently dealt with,” Drecun said.
