Banks’ liquid assets in September amounted to EUR 1.76 billion, which is 4.82 percent less than in August.
The liquid assets of banks in September, compared to the same month last year, were 9.09 percent lower.
Liquidity coefficients for the banking system as a whole were above the prescribed minimums, on a daily and decadal level.
The balance sheet of banks at the end of September amounted to EUR 6.78 billion and recorded a slight increase compared to August, while at the annual level it strengthened by 11.08 percent.
In the structure of banks’ assets, in September, the dominant share of 58.93 percent was achieved by total loans, followed by cash and deposit accounts with central banks with 20.2 percent, securities with 19.71 percent, while 1.16 percent related to the remaining assets.
In the structure of liabilities, the dominant share of 81.5 percent was achieved by deposits, followed by capital with 11.93 percent, loans with 3.38 percent, while other items accounted for 3.19 percent of total liabilities.
The total capital of banks at the end of September amounted to EUR 808.48 million, and on a monthly and annual level, it recorded a growth of 2.31 percent and 31.84 percent, respectively.
