Herceg Novi was on the list of the best coastal cities in the magazine. Namely, according to research by the cruise company Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, which covered 117 coastal cities around the world, Herceg Novi took sixth place behind Reykjavik, Bruges, Naples, Monaco and Split.
The ranking was made according to the quality of cultural attractions in the cities, the number of places on the UNESCO World Heritage List, popularity on Google and the number of hashtags on social networks.
Herceg Novi received an overall rating of 7.8 out of 10, with the number of sights and excursion tours being the best rated, and the number of museums and concerts a little lower. In addition to its cultural and historical offer, Herceg Novi took a high place on the world’s list of the best coastal cities due to its natural beauty and specific location at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor.
That was the purpose of the research – to find a city that is not completely isolated and that has enough amenities, but tourists can still relax and be close to the sea.
