National Tourism Organization of Montenegro (NTO CG) presented the tourist offer of active tourism at the specialized fair for hiking and cycling, “Fahrrad und WanderReisen”, which was held in the period from 13-15th January, in Stuttgart.

The Fair “Fahrrad und WanderReisen” is primarily intended for the tourist offer of active tourism and always attracts a large number of visitors and lovers of active vacations, which is best illustrated by the fact that in 2023 it was visited by about 60000 lovers of outdoor activities. This year, 70000 people visited the fair during the two-day weekend alone.

The local tourism organizations that took part are very satisfied with the interest during the fair and have high expectations when it comes to the German market. According to the director of TO Mojkovac, Germans are the most numerous tourists in this municipality, and they mostly choose active vacations.

“For us, this is an extremely significant participation because according to the data we monitor during the tourist season, the largest number of tourists who visit Mojkovac are from the German-speaking region. What Mojkovac can offer is exactly what this fair is specialized for, which is active vacations – rafting, kayaking, paragliding and more, which we also presented in brochures in German. We were convinced of the exceptional attendance of this fair, and the interest in Montenegro’s offer is huge. We are very glad that the NTO of Montenegro allowed us to participate in this fair and we will try to present the city and the country in the best possible way”, said Radonja Vuković, director of TO Mojkovac.

The director of TO Žabljak, Stojan Abazović, also expressed satisfaction with the performance in Stuttgart.

“We received the largest number of inquiries from visitors for activities such as hiking, cycling, canyoning and everything else related to staying in untouched nature. TO Žabljak has already participated in this fair several times and I can confirm the great interest in Montenegro. I have no doubt that this participation in the fair will have good results, as it has so far, because every year we have more and more tourists from the German-speaking area”, said Abazović.

Special interest of visitors was attracted by hiking trails, nature parks and canyons, and representatives of local tourist organizations and the tourism industry made an effort to present the beauty of these important natural sites in the right way.

“We are pleased that we took part in this fair and this year presented our country, or rather our national parks, in a great way. We believe that the next tourist season will be even better than the previous one, which according to many parameters of visitors to the National Parks, was a record. The number of visitors at the fair in Stuttgart exceeded all our expectations“, concluded Stefan Ivanović, assistant director of JP National Parks of Montenegro.

The increasingly popular “Fahrrad und WanderReisen” is part of the famous CMT 2024 fair, one of the world’s largest tourism fairs, which in 2023 was visited by over 265 visitors. Every year CMT in Stuttgart gathers more than 000 exhibitors representing new destinations, countries, regions and cities for active vacations and 1600 accredited journalists, who report on offers from all over the world. We remind you that in 1700, Montenegro, as a partner country of the CMT 2020 fair, aroused great interest from visitors from the German-speaking area, and the same was true during this year’s presentation.

In addition to NTO CG, TO Žabljak, TO Mojkovac, Eneida Apartments, JPNPCG, TO Bar, TO Herceg Novi, TO Ulcinj, SAFARI BEACH & CAMPING – MONTENEGRO participated in the fair.
