By September, the state earned EUR 1.9 billion

In the period from January to September, the state earned EUR 1.9 billion, which is EUR 455 million more than in the same period last year, Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced.

The Ministry of Finance made a cross-section of revenues for the period from the beginning of the year to September 1st, which are at the level of around EUR 1.9 billion and are higher than the planned 328.3 million or even 20.9%. When the data is compared with the same period last year, the revenue is 455 million EUR or 31.4% higher – said Abazović.

He added that it is important to emphasize that the state achieved revenues of EUR 214.9 million in September alone, which is EUR 40.4 million or 23.1% more than in the same period last year.

– I express my gratitude and respect to the Minister of Finance Aleksandar Damjanović and the employees of the Ministry of Finance, members of the Government, as well as state administration officials for the impressive results – said Abazović.

He stated that it can be stated that it is the first time in Montenegro that the revenues are equal to the expenditures, if one takes into account the fact that this Government has borrowed only EUR 100 million so far.

According to Abazović, this is the historical minimum of indebtedness of a Montenegrin government.
