Budget revenues on three bases will be half a billion more than in 2019

The three main categories of Montenegrin budget income in 2023 will be almost half a billion euros higher, compared to the same categories in 2019, the consulting firm Fidelity consulting announced.

As they stated in a post on social networks, the corporate income tax in 2023 increased by 88% or by EUR 62.8 million – from EUR 71.8 to EUR 134.6 million compared to 2019.

In 2023, VAT increased by 57% or by EUR 375.2 million, i.e. from EUR 652.8 million to EUR 1.02 billion, compared to 2019 – Fidelity Consulting stated. They also add that this year’s excise tax revenue increased by 25% or by EUR 56.8 million, more precisely from EUR 239.5 to EUR 296.5 million compared to 2019.

In total, the three main categories of income of the budget of Montenegro in 2023 will be higher by almost half a billion euros, more precisely by 495 million euros compared to the same categories in 2019 – the announcement reads. Fidelity Consulting also reminds that inflation in 2023 will be around 10%, and the three income categories have increased five times more – by 51%.
