At the end of last year, the stock market turnover exceeded 2 million euros

The total turnover on the Montenegro Stock Exchange in December of last year amounted to 2.18 million euros, marking a 204.68% increase compared to the previous month. However, when compared to December 2022, the turnover was lower by 83.21%.

The average daily turnover in December was 103,655.59 euros. According to data from the Montenegro Stock Exchange Bulletin, 75 transactions were concluded during the 21 trading days in December. In the same period in 2022, 1,545 transactions were concluded over 22 trading days.

  • The total turnover on the prime market was 276,975.53 euros with 17 transactions. On the standard market, 15 transactions were concluded with a turnover of 39,153.50 euros – as stated in the document.

The data also shows that 34 transactions were concluded on the free market, with a turnover of 1.82 million euros.

  • The total turnover in December 2023 on the MTP ME market amounted to 36,861.24 euros with 9 transactions – as stated in the Bulletin.

Throughout December, the total turnover of shares of issuers comprising the MNSE 10 index was 422,612.28 euros, representing 19.41% of the total turnover on the Montenegro Stock Exchange. The total number of transactions of issuers in the MNSE 10 index was 52, accounting for 69.33% of all transactions in December.

As of December 31st, the MNSE 10 index had a value of 1,063.32 points, representing a 5.36% increase compared to the same period the previous year.

On the same day, the MONEX index was at 15,583.13 points, with its value increasing by 10.19% compared to the same period last year.

  • The total market capitalization of shares as of December 31st amounted to 2.52 billion euros, representing a decrease of 29.15% compared to 2022. Specifically, the market capitalization decreased by just over one billion euros over the year.
