The international hotel group Karisma Hotels Adriatic is in serious negotiations with the owner of the former Lido hotel on Long Beach in Ulcinj, the company Capital Estate, regarding the possible construction of a new hotel on the same location, according to several sources. Unofficial information has been indirectly confirmed by Karisma, which couldn’t provide detailed information on the topic due to a confidentiality agreement signed with Capital Estate, the owner of the land where the former hotel was located.

“At this moment, we are not able to share information about the Lido project with the public, given the signed Non-Disclosure Agreement with the other party,” explained the hotel group.

Karisma has been present in Ulcinj for six years, having leased the Belvi and Olimpik hotels on Long Beach for thirty years from the hotel-tourist company Ulcinjska Rivijera. These hotels later operated within the Holiday Village Montenegro complex.

The two companies were in negotiations in 2019 as well, and during that time, the then-mayor of the Municipality, Ljoro Nrekić, announced on two occasions the imminent start of construction on the new hotel. However, there is still no concrete agreement to date.
