Which destinations do foreigners choose when they come to Montenegro?

The National Tourism Organization of Montenegro (NTOCG) participated again this year in the significant regional tourism fair “Tourism&Travel Show Albania” in Tirana, where it presented the tourist offerings of the destination.

As part of the fair, a business workshop “B2B Balkan Market Place” was organized, providing an opportunity for meetings with international tour operators from the region, Europe, and beyond.

“Since 2017, we have been offering packages for Montenegro. Every year, there is increasing interest from tourists from the United Kingdom, and we know how much they love your country. We mostly have experience with tourists who are 50+ years old and know that they prefer to stay in beautiful hotels in Kotor and Budva but also explore the entire Montenegrin coast. They adore Montenegro, and I must admit that over these few years, we’ve received only a few complaints, while their enthusiasm for nature and hospitality is undeniable,” stated Stephen Shaw from G Touring agency.

Fred Gold, the product manager of Martin Rendall Travel agency with branches in the UK and Australia, confirmed that Montenegro has been an exceptionally attractive destination for their clients for many years.

“Our tourists love the Balkans and enjoy exploring it, and Montenegro is an essential part of our tourism offerings. For almost a decade, we have been organizing accommodations in Tivat and exploring Perast, Kotor, Cetinje, and Lovćen National Park from there. Our clients return full of wonderful impressions, and some even come to Montenegro every year once they see it,” said Gold.

Zrinka Zilec from the Zagreb branch of the Kuoni Tumlare company highlighted their particular interest in bringing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) groups to the Montenegrin coast.

“We organized groups even before the pandemic, and now we have made agreements to continue this practice in the current and next year, expecting excellent results. Our MICE groups number from 100 people and above, and guests are always satisfied and thrilled with Montenegro, especially with the gastronomic aspects and mild climate,” emphasized Zilec.

“Tourism&Travel Show Albania” is the largest B2B fair for professionals in the tourism industry in the Balkans, representing a unified Balkan market.

The fair hosted numerous representatives from the tourism industry, including accommodation providers, destination management, tour operators, travel agencies, and transport companies.
