Surge in Prices for Manufactured Industrial Products

Producer prices of industrial products in Montenegro in the fourth quarter of last year increased by 3.7% compared to the same period in 2022, according to data from the Statistical Office of Montenegro (Monstat).

“Compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, the sectors of mining and quarrying and manufacturing recorded growth of 17.9% and 0.7%, respectively,” the statement said.

Prices in the sector of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply remained unchanged on average, i.e., at the level of prices from the fourth quarter of 2022.

“The producer prices of industrial products in Montenegro in the fourth quarter of last year, compared to the third quarter, recorded an increase of 0.7%,” said Monstat.

Compared to the third quarter, the mining and quarrying sector experienced a growth of 4%, the manufacturing sector saw a decrease of 0.2%, while prices in the sector of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply remained unchanged on average, i.e., at the level of prices from the third quarter of last year.
