Montenegro, The city of Herceg Novi wants to increase the number of guests from Serbia with charter lines

Charter flights during the Mimosa Festival can further strengthen the connection between the citizens of Herceg Novi and Serbia, it was announced at a meeting of the management of the Municipality of Herceg Novi with the new charge d’affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Montenegro, Jelisaveta Čolanović and the Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Herceg Novi, Miča Rogović.

As stated in the announcement, the participants of the meeting discussed several topics of importance for the city, as well as problems in the functioning of the medical institutions of the “Dr. Simo Milošević” Institute and the Meljine Hospital, while the focus of the discussion was the continuation of cooperation with numerous cities in Serbia with which Herceg New heritage of traditional and friendly relations.

“Next year 2023 will be a dynamic year. At the Mimosa Festival, Belgrade and Novi Sad will be presented to us again for the first time, and there will also be some discoveries that are being prepared for February next year. In this regard, one of the topics of the meeting was the introduction of charter flights from Niš and Kraljevo during the period of the Mimosa Festival”, Katic said.

What is pleasing is the fact that Herceg Novi is a traditional summer resort for numerous Serbian tourists with a drastic growth trend recorded, which will certainly continue in the coming years, said the President of the Municipality.

According to Čolanović, the desire of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia is to further strengthen cooperation, even though it has been very significant so far.

“We see room for some new forms of cooperation that can further strengthen the connection between the citizens of Herceg Novi and Serbia, such as charter flights during the Mimosa Festival. We will be happy to jointly plan the steps for their implementation and it will be our pleasure to promote cooperation between Herceg Novi and the Republic of Serbia in this way”, Čolanović pointed out, local media writes.
