The banking sector of Montenegro is stable, well-capitalized, and highly liquid, according to the Governor of the Central Bank (CBCG), Irena Radović, as she stated during a meeting with the Greek Ambassador in Podgorica, Panajotis Partsos.
She briefed the Greek ambassador on the current situation in Montenegro’s banking sector, emphasizing that the previous year was characterized by continuous growth in assets, capital, and deposits.
According to the statement, Partsos congratulated Radović on taking office, highlighting that the CBCG plays a key role in preserving financial stability as a segment of the overall macroeconomic stability crucial for Montenegro’s further progress on its European path.
The interlocutors agreed that Greece and Montenegro have very good and friendly overall relations and excellent bilateral cooperation, with room for further strengthening of the economic ties between the two countries.
