The government has prepared a new agreement to regulate the new method of calculating concession fees for the use of hydroenergy potential, as reported in the latest session.

According to the government’s statement, the information includes details about the company Hydroenergy Montenegro from Berane, which, as a concessionaire, has two concluded concession agreements. Under these agreements, eight small hydroelectric power plants (SHPPs) were built on the Bistrica and Å ekular watercourses, with a total installed capacity of 14.04 MW and a planned annual production of 44.90 GWh. The company concluded amendments to the power purchase agreements on the market on December 20, 2023, altering significant elements for the concessionaire’s revenue calculation.
