Montenegro reaches 1.32 million mobile phone users by end of May

At the end of May, Montenegro had 1.32 million mobile phone users, marking a 1.46 percent increase compared to April.

According to the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), this number translates to a penetration rate of 212.86 percent.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of users in May increased by 2.65 percent.

Postpaid users made up 59.61 percent of the total, while prepaid users accounted for 40.39 percent.

Among the providers, M:tel the largest share with 527,530 users, representing 39.97 percent of the market. Crnogorski Telekom followed with 464,520 users or 35.2 percent, and One had 327,700 users or 24.83 percent.

In the prepaid segment, M:tel 47.19 percent of users, Crnogorski Telekom 27.96 percent, and One 24.85 percent.

For postpaid users, Crnogorski Telekom led with 40.1 percent, M:tel 35.08 percent, and One accounted for 24.82 percent.
