The Nikšić Steel Plant has appointed a new acting director, Miloš Nikolić, a qualified traffic engineer, effective immediately. This decision follows a meeting of the Board of Directors, which also accepted the resignation of the former executive director, Nevenka Janković, who requested to step down over a month ago.

In a significant development, the Swiss company 8B Capital S.A., represented by Igor Šamiz, has secured a lease for the plant’s production facilities, set to commence on November 1. The lease agreement was finalized two days ago and has since been notarized, ensuring its legal validity.

Šamiz has expressed plans to begin with 25 employees from the Steel Plant starting November 1, with a goal to hire an additional 150 workers over the next six months.

Nikolić had previously been offered the position of executive director when Janković first sought to resign but declined the role at that time. He has been part of the management team at the Steel Plant for several years.
